The microchip is a resourse used in the human base. It is unlocked after getting Low Gravity Manufacturing which then unlocks the Microchip Factory. To produce microchips, gold is smelted.
Microchips are one of the slowest resources to produce, and require a large number of workers compared to most other resources.
